  • Pampas Grass Hunting & A Romantic Look for Fall

Pampas Grass Hunting & A Romantic Look for Fall

Work outfit and hunting for pampas grass. One of the fun projects – creating store window displays!

I’m going to try and re-design the shop window at Artemis every other season. My next project needs to be a theme that intertwines fall and winter. I love the magical look of pampas grass and the off-white color feels autumn/winter. We’re thinking about creating a pampas grass cloud + dried flowers installation that drapes over the birdcages . Aside from the store window display, I love pampas grass as accent pieces for home! I bought mine for this Etsy seller and it’s beautiful – large, fans out beautifully, and just a few stems will light up the room!

This pouch bag on rotation . It fits a lot, but can get heavy rather quickly. I’m used to lugging my heavy work bag around, so even when this pouch bag is full it’s on the lighter side for me. Pairing this bag and outfit with mirror accents, I love the spike studs and t-strap look of these silver pumps. I’ve worn these silver pumps before with jeans and a sweater, and really appreciate how metallic pumps can make a simple outfit instantly chic.

  • Almost Autumn in Downtown

    Almost Autumn in Downtown

Alot of my friends have reached out asking about New York. Some fear that the death of New York is imminent, while others are hopeful that the spirit of New York will survive this.

Almost autumn in New York. A sweater weather comfort that feels so calm and peaceful.

Speaking of calm, I rarely shoot in the theater district because it’s usually extremely crowded. Lots and lots of people. And buses and cars. Just overwhelming overall. For a clear shot, we’d have to get there at sunrise to beat the crowds. This time, it’s a lot different. Small crowds, few cars, and little foot traffic. A lot of my friends have reached out asking about New York. Some fear that the death of New York is imminent, while others are hopeful that the spirit of New York will survive this. Some days, I feel both. The foot traffic at Artemis is nothing like it was last summer and some of our close clients have moved out of state. Walking through Time Square and the theater distinct though, I do feel the spirit of New York. It’s almost like a sleepy giant about to wake up from its nap. I remain hopeful, because I have to be. There’s no other place I’d rather be.

With autumn at our front door, sweater weather is a much welcomed tradition. In my humble opinion, one of the queens of fall styling is my dear friend, Marissa Webb. I have these leather pants in black and they are one of my absolute favorites. This chestnut edition is gorgeous as well and works beautifully with brown tones, winter whites, shades of blue, and more. And this sweater can be worn buttoned up or as a cut out detail at the shoulder. Super chic and cozy!

  • Always in the Mood for Classics

Always in the Mood for Classics

Always in the mood for classics! Always. Pieces that are versatile year round, that can go from cold winter days to warm summer nights, and that are great companions to almost every piece in our closet.

Sharing the latest Express collaboration collection, Express x Olivia Culpo, today and the best part is that all of the pieces are under $150 with most under $100.

To be honest with you, I can’t pull off the track pants and bermuda shorts look, so I was trilled to see classic pieces in this collection. My favorite piece is this striped boyfriend blazer! It’s such a timeless piece! Great for the office when accompanied with tailored pants, for the weekends when coupled with jeans and sneakers, for the fashion lover to pair with boots, and for the busy soul who doesn’t have much time in the morning but still want to look polish and sleek throughout the day. And not to mention, it’s a great year round piece!

For NY winters, I have to practice the art of layering. And this blazer is perfect with a cozy sweater, wool coat, tights, and tall slouchy boots. Not to lose my shape with all of the layers, I belted the blazer using the buckle belt from the shorts.

I hope you enjoy the styling and featured items! Thank you so much for reading!

  • All About the Nudes

    All About the Nudes

The winter black cousin, the all beige look! On cold winter days, solo color pairings (an all white look or an all red look) are just enough to add the perfect amount of freshness and cheer to cold weather outfits!

I’m a huge fan of monochromatic pairings, especially in the neutral and red color family. I adore all gray, ivory, beige, red, and wine outfits! They always look so chic and never boring. I think the main thing to focus on when putting these outfits together is mixing textures + lengths and adding a pop of strong color (for this outfit, it’s beige with a dash of red).

I hope you enjoy this styling and look! Thank you so much for reading!

  • All Black is Never a Bad Idea

All Black is Never a Bad Idea

All black is never a bad idea… unless you have cats.

It took me about 10 minutes to put this outfit on, and about another 20 minutes to get all of the cat hair off. But that won’t stop me from wearing black. And especially, an all black outfit!

Old pieces coming out again with new life, trusty favorites revisited, and staple wardrobe pieces that are timeless with a new spin. Not only is it creatively challenging, it’s also a great framework to extend the life of our closet.

For this outfit, I’m restyling a summer top Mm6 Maison Margiela into a winter look. And when I bought this Storets skort I knew it was going to be a forever piece, because of its endless layering possibilities. It can be layered under a top or mini dress, or worn with an oversized sweater or turtleneck tucked in.

I hope you enjoy this restyling and the beautiful Soho area! have a great weekend!

  • A Shortcut to Looking and Feeling 6 Feet Tall!

A Shortcut to Looking and Feeling 6 Feet Tall!

After this, I don’t know if I’ll go back to low rise jeans!

    Another high waisted jeans look
Perfect Reds for the Holidays and Beyond!
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with high waisted jeans. Skinny, tailored, straight leg, boyfriend… no matter the cut, if they’re high waisted then I’m in! I usually don’t tuck in my tops, but with the high waisted style, it’s the perfect formula. Leg lengthening, slimming, and ever so chic, these jeans are great with sweaters, button-down shirts, flowy tops, and so much more. On a good day I’m 5’4, but with high waisted jeans I feel 6 feet tall!

I love these jeans so much that I bought three of them (this dark wash, a blue wash, and a light blue wash). They’re super comfortable, has a good amount of stretch, and are great with heels and sneakers. I hope you enjoy the styling and thank you so much for reading!

  • Casual in the City, Winter Edition

Casual in the City, Winter Edition

Switching out my heels for sneakers today. A causal layered look that’s super cozy and comfy!

With oversized chunky sweaters, I sometimes find that they’re too bulky under coats. I still love them though so instead of wearing something over them, I layer under them. I have three layers on top (a thermal, button up ruffle shirt, and chunky sweater) and it kept me warm without feeling like a marshmallow.

One of my favorite combinations… leather pants with white sneakers! There’s something so downtown chic about it! These BlankNYC pants are actually faux leather and they’re such a great option for the textured leather look and feel at a great price. They’re soft, comfortable, and I love that they have a zip bottom!

Unfortunately these sneakers are no longer in production, but I linked another pair that’s not only highly rated but also budget friendly. I had these UGG sneakers saved in my wishlist for awhile now just in case I need to replace this pair. Based on the description and reviews, they have thick cushions and are made for all day walking!

I hope you enjoy this casual pairing (you know me, I live in my over-the-knee boots!). Hope you’re having a great week so far and thank you so much for reading!
