  • Fantastic Colors – Fall Fashion with Reds and Pinks

Fantastic Colors – Fall Fashion with Reds and Pinks

Fall in full swing! Literally and fashionably =) As the weather drops this lace dress dances, swinging back and forth in full color and joy.

The colors of autumn! Gold leaves from sky to floor, it’s a sight of awe and wonder. One of the many reasons I love New York City. The perfect complement to this gold dreamland is pairing it with reds and pinks. This is my favorite time to play with colors, to mix and match tones, and to pair different textures.

This color story covers autumn, winter, and spring, and this maxi length is perfect for cold weather months (add tights and a faux fur or wool scarf for more warmth on super cold days). Wherever you are though, if you enjoy this color theme I hope you’ll like the curated edit below.

Have a great weekend everyone! Thank you for being here, and as always, thank you for your love and support!

Straight out of a movie, this outfit has more characters than any films! A velvet cape + lace tulle top + leo pumps = holiday style.

I’m so lucky to have incredibly talented friends. This velvet cape is one of my favorite pieces. Not only because it’s so chic and luxe, it’s also designed by my dear friend, Vivian Chan. I met Vivian right when she graduated and seeing her collection and vision grow every year has been a privilege. • Holiday Ready – Holiday Dressing Guide Under

Holiday Ready – Holiday Dressing Guide Under $60

Are you ready?! It’s officially holiday season! Deep into November, two weeks before the holidays, and with December around the corner… it’s holiday dressing time.

With the most festive time of the year knocking at our door, I think the best way to kick off this season is with rich textures. And when I say textures, I mean beautiful velvet, metallic, and sequin. Pieces that are for the now, and also can be restyled for special occasions later on. And more importantly, pieces that won’t break the bank.

Velvet is truly a classic item. While velvet coats can look a little heavy, velvet blazers are great for fall and winter. They complement high shine textures and are so chic when layered with dense finishes like wool coats. This velvet blazer has a slight vintage touch with the matte shawl collar and tailored frame. It pairs well with a timeless white button-up blouse, or for the holidays, with a metallic bodysuit .

Just like the fall collection , this Scoop holiday collection is full of buildable pieces. From bold prints to sequins to metallics… this collection is mixable, matchable and oh-so-affordable, starting at $25.

I hope you enjoy the holiday styling and shopping guide. As always, thank you so much for reading!

  • The Power Suit, a Must-Have in Your Wardrobe

The Power Suit, a Must-Have in Your Wardrobe

Always a favorite, the power suit! Time and time again, it proves to be a mood enhancer, confident booster, and strength provider.

I’m always on the lookout for a great suit. Whether it’s velvet, classic black, or plaid… if it fits well, I’m in love! This check suit is perfect. The blazer has a tailored boyfriend fit and the pants are cropped and slim. It feels great and I feel like I can conquer the world while wearing it!

In my humble opinion, the power suit is a wardrobe must-have! Mainly, because it’s so versatile. Worn together, it’s great for the office and meetings. Worn apart, they’re great as separates. For casual days, this check blazer works so well with blue jeans, a pocket tee, and white sneakers. For a sleek and polish look, pair the check pants with a black turtleneck and suede pumps. So many great combinations from one suit!

I hope you enjoy this power suit as much as I do! I can’t wait to share more =) As always, thank you so much for reading!

  • Color Story – Fall Outfits in Pink and Green

Color Story – Fall Outfits in Pink and Green

What a strange, but in my humble opinion, interesting color combo. Pink with green. A slight deviation from holiday colors with the traditional red and green, pink with green softens this color mix and gives it a more romantic touch.

I love rich emerald colors and equally adore soft pink hues. Together, this color combo is powerful yet gentle. Pulling out my favorite velvet suit and pairing it with a long length coat, I went to my meetings feeling strong and confident. Continuing this color combo, I can’t wait to pair these pants with oversized pink cable sweaters and green or pink pumps for work/Artemis shop looks!

If you are obsessed with pink for fall as much as I am, below will be a feast for the eyes! From pink coats to rose colored accessories, these are my favorite pink pieces that are easy to add and will complement your current wardrobe. Pinks work great with all-black outfits because it softens the look, and they’re also fantastic with reds, purples, ivory shades, and so much more.

I hope you enjoy this styling and the pink edit! Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend ahead!

  • Wearing My Cat! Fun Ways to Elevate a T-shirt

Wearing My Cat! Fun Ways to Elevate a T-shirt

The perfect gift and a great way to elevate a simple t-shirt – custom paw buddy portraits!

Every year for my birthday, Colin gets me t-shirts with Sam and Sherlock on them. Last year, he printed one of my favorite IG photos of them, and this year, he pulled out all the stops – custom Sam and Sherlock artwork! From last year to this year, my reaction is always the same. Glassy eyes full of tears. I love the artwork so much that we turned them into t-shirts and we’re planning to frame them in larger prints.

As crazy as this sounds – if you have a dog or cat lover in your family or circle of friends, this is one way to guarantee full force hugs and flood of tears. This is also a great gift to celebrate the life and memory of a dear companion that is no longer with us. We had a few friends who lost their beloved cats and dogs this year, and we always try to do this for them. Of all of the items in my closet, I treasure my Sam and Sherlock t-shirts the most.

I hope you enjoy this styling. It’s a great gift idea and a great way to elevate simple t-shirts – custom cat and dog portraits! Have a good weekend and thank you so much for reading.

  • Velvet Crush – Velvet Dress & Favorite Velvet Pieces

Velvet Crush – Velvet Dress & Favorite Velvet Pieces

Awww yummy velvet! As you know, I’m no stranger to velvet. I love velvet – beautiful rich deep colors for fall.

Velvet cakes, velvet dresses, velvet slippers… all equally delicious! This texture is sublime for fall. It’s soft, glimmers when the light touches it, and feels holiday ready. I love mixing velvet with stronger textures like leather (the tall boots), and pairing it with similar soft textures like sheer pieces (the turtleneck) and velvet accessories (the box bag). It’s the harmonious combination of feminine with masculine elements that I really love

Sharing my obsession of velvet with you today. From dresses to blazers to bags, velvet can be worn as a statement or as an accent piece. If you are at the beginning of your velvet love affair, a great item to start with is this mini velvet bag. It’s great with an evening dress and also great styled as a weekend look with a slouchy sweater and high rise straight jeans.

I hope you enjoy this styling and the velvet edit. Thank you so much for reading!

  • Sweater Weather – A Fall Fashion Guide Under

Sweater Weather – A Fall Fashion Guide Under $50

Sometimes the simplest is the best. Classic shapes with a twist at great prices – welcome to sweater weather, aka fall fashion!

Sweater weather is synonymous with fall styling. Our love for cozy sweaters becomes a deep obsession around this time of the year. And no matter how many beautiful outfits I see online, I always go back to the classics – a great sweater with slouchy boots for fall. This time, both of these items are high quality and under $50!

This slouchy turtleneck can be worn with jeans, styled as a sweater dress (I sized up for a more boxy sweater dress look), and paired with tailored pants for an office look. What I love about this piece is that it’s truly a classic. One of those pieces that make dressing easy and comfy. I’m so happy that this Scoop line exclusively at Walmart has this sweater in cream, camel, and rose as well. I ended up ordering the black.

These suede boots have a good amount of padding and the perfect amount of slouch. They’re very comfortable, and can be easily styled over denim or with tights. The block heel gives it an off-duty vibe while the almond toe shape elevates the look. It’s casual yet dressy, great for the office and also at holiday parties.

From a classic item like the black turtleneck to a fun piece like this leopard sweater, the overall tone of this Scoop collection is familiar yet modern.

I hope you enjoy the styling and fall sweater edit!As always, thank you so much for reading!
