    Holiday in Marrakech

Happy holidays everyone from beautiful Marrakech! We’re so sad to say good bye to Marrakech, but so grateful to end the year with this incredible trip.

Colin and I both travel very light. Colin’s stepmom was a flight attendant, so she taught him how to pack efficiently. And I’ve learned over the years not to overpack. I only bring the essentials with me, and for this trip, I packed a few dresses, my trusty sandals, and this beautiful bucket bag.

This Brahmin bucket bag is quite perfect. It’s a great size, light, has a handheld and shoulder option, and fits a lot. And I mean a lot. Which is perfect for traveling and everyday life. It can hold a water bottle, make-up pouch, sunglass case, small camera, and has pockets for a wallet, phone, and keys. I took it to the souks with me and was able to fit a Moroccan bottle holder and two small dishes in it!

In addition to its versatility, the most striking feature of this bag is the color. The rich emerald green shade is a standout color, but at the same time, beautiful for everyday. The glossy finish and croc-embossed texture elevates the classic bucket bag shape. It’s great with an all-black outfit, denim and white shirt look, floral dresses, crimson hues, and so much more.

I took this bag with me to all of the holiday dinners, excursions, and festivities on this trip. From morning coffee to mint tea to Moroccan beef with prunes tagine for dinner, it’s such a great travel companion and daily essential. A great piece to celebrate the holidays, receive on the holidays, and gift for this holiday season! Happy holidays everyone and thank you so much for reading!

  • Cold-Weather Styling Guide, Layering with Velvet & Plaid

Cold-Weather Styling Guide, Layering with Velvet & Plaid

Fall layering! The perfect time to play with rich textures and fun prints!

Velvet and plaid, I love this combination! It has an old world charm to it. And I love love a great velvet suit! Velvet suits are fun for the holidays, great as statement pieces, and so versatile when worn as separates. Breaking this suit apart, this velvet blazer is also great with jeans for a causal tailored look and these velvet pants pair so well with an oversized sweater for a cozy weekend look.

I’ve been looking to add a brown plaid coat to my wardrobe for a very long time. I believe a plaid coat is a must-have in every wardrobe. They’re incredible versatile! A great plaid coat can elevate an all black outfit, complement casual looks, and fun to dress up. The first place I always check is Nordstrom. I love seeing their contemporary and designer selections. Researching and browsing for a few weeks, I came across a couple of plaid coats and this one caught my eye.

This Sandro coat is so beautiful! I love the classic double-breasted style, the tailored fit, and the timeless camel color. This color is really great! A beautiful flattering and versatile brown with hints of light tan peeking through. This coat feels very menswear-inspired with its sharp lapels and strong shoulders, but cut with a soft hourglass shape.

Funny story… we actually don’t have a Nordstrom women’s store in Manhattan yet, but we do have a newly open men’s store near Central Park. Anyways, Colin and I walked into the men’s store, and after a very friendly greeting from the doorman, he said… I love your outfit. You look like you’re from Peaky Blinders (which by the way is Colin’s favorite show)! Colin and him became best friends. And I became best friends with the cologne isle.

I hope you’re having a great November and enjoying the holidays!

  • Candy and Flowers, Sharing a Beautiful Scent for Autumn

Candy and Flowers, Sharing a Beautiful Scent for Autumn

Candy and flowers! What a perfect pairing! A different type of candy today. One that lasts throughout the day and can be enjoyed over and over again. The grace and charm of this particular one comes in perfect timing. Beautiful for the holidays and beyond!

I’ve been a huge fan of Sephora since my college days, and am so happy to be partnering with them this holiday season. I go to Sephora for everything! Hair products, skincare items, color samples, the latest in clean beauty… seriously if they had cat food there, I’d live in Sephora! Another essential item that I go there for is perfume.

I think for women, we find our favorite scents through testing and discovering it on other people. What perfume are you wearing? It’s such a great conversation starter. The online version of that is this Fragrance Finder and reading the reviews. That’s how I discovered Prada Candy. I wanted something warm and sophisticated for autumn, winter, and the holidays. Prada Candy starts out sweet and airy like fresh cotton candy and then settles into a warm caramel latte type of scent. It’s one of those scents you want to hug on a cold night.

I think about scents the same way I think about fashion. This scent reminds me of a cozy fall outfit. Imagined it in causal form as an oversized cable turtleneck with jeans and sneakers grabbing coffee, and in dressy form as a velvet black dress with red lips and embellished heels. It works for day and night. And I love the rollerball option. It fits in your bag and great for travel!

I hope you enjoy Central Park and this candy and flower story. If you’re looking for a gift this holiday season for yourself, friends, and loved ones, give Prada Candy a try! The rollerball is such a great gift and stocking stuffer item as well!

We hope to share with you more Central Park magic before all of the fall foliage goes away. Happy holidays and thank you so much for reading!

  • Flower Girl

    Flower Girl

Enjoying the last days of summer in florals today. And what’s better than a floral piece? A floral set!

A sweet marigold color paired with floral prints, this Walmart top and skirt set makes dressing fun and effortless . Flutter sleeves with criss cross detailing in the back, this top can be restyled with a distressed denim skirt and casual sneakers to create another weekend look. And for autumn, this skirt with a light turtleneck and lace-up booties will make such a chic city look! Worn together or apart, this floral set is a great way to transition from summer to fall.

Two styling elements that I adore this summer (and honestly, every summer!) and love revisiting in the fall are gladiator sandals and Roman inspired jewelry. They both capture the essence of a carefree spirit. These Walmart studded ankle strap sandals are comfy and versatile. They pair so well with skirts, and for fall, I can’t wait to wear them with an off-the-shoulder chunky sweater and leather shorts.

And this is not the first time you’ve seen me in coin jewelry. I love love them! They’re beautiful as a stand alone piece and as a layering piece with other bracelets. This Roman charm bracelet is light and a great stacking piece.

Florals is one of the many trends I love for fall. Statement sleeves is another trend I can’t wait to embrace, plaid is a must this time of the year, and berry hues is the color darling of autumn.

Happy end of summer and I hope you enjoy the location and styling!

  • Fall Fashion Essentials

    Fall Fashion Essentials

This is my fall uniform. A cozy oversized sweater with tall boots! Every fall season this combo comes back. And I can’t imagine fall fashion without it!

Who’s ready for fall?! The temperature dropped quite a bit this week and you know what that means… pulling out the sweaters and boots! I look forward to this combo every year. As a late summer/fall fashion preview, I couldn’t help but wear my Olsen-esque sweater. A textured oversized (I sized up so I could wear it as a dress) stripe piece with dashes of red. Because the top is so billowy, the tall boots help slim and elongate the frame. I love this oversized sweater + tall boots combo! It just feels so effortlessly chic.

Happy Wednesday and I hope you’re having a great week so far! Thank you so much for being here and talk to you soon!

Classics in Striped Blouse and Leather Shorts

Happy Friday everyone! A quick hello and wishing you a great weekend ahead!

Summer classics today in a striped button down, leather shorts, and embellished pumps. To be honest with you, I had on boyfriend jeans before going out to grab coffee. The moment I stepped out, I had to go back in and changed to shorts. It was so hot! These shorts are super comfy, and just in case you’re in the mood for summer leather shorts I have some suggestions below.

As always, thank you so much for reading!

  • Prints & Layers – Transitional Pieces to Spring

Prints & Layers – Transitional Pieces to Spring

Looking forward to spring, but still need the layers. Welcome to transitional pieces to spring!

Something to get excited about… spring dressing! Replacing a coat with a jacket, swapping out a thick sweater for a slip dress, and trading shearling sneakers for cutout boots… all warmer weather things to get us excited about.

This zebra slip dress is super soft and has a beautiful pattern for that transitional winter to spring look. It works well with a black jacket, a white piece, and for colder weather, can be layered over a sleek turtleneck with over-the-knee boots. Below are some spring layering pieces that are not only best of budget, but also classic styles. Especially the jackets!

I hope you’re looking forward to spring as much as I am! Thank you so much for reading!

  • Casual and Comfy in San Francisco

Casual and Comfy in San Francisco

Happy Friday everyone! One of my favorite casual pairings… a cozy sweater dress + tall boots! It’s easy to put together and so chic!

Super cozy and fun, I went for an oversized sweater with loads of texture and a charming print this time. Matching the yellow of the Peanuts detail with yellow boots, I love how the whole look feels youthful but at the same time grown-up.

As you probably know by now, I’m a huge fan of Senreve. I love their bags and am very familiar with their leathers. Just in case you’re considering one, this latte color Mini Maestra is in Smooth leather. It’s velvety and buttery to the touch and incredibly soft. Because it’s so soft, it somewhat lacks structure at the top so at times the top flap looks ‘pulled’. This doesn’t happen to the long-grain Mimosa leather or the full-grain Pebbled leather. In the related post for example, my burgundy bag is in Mimosa leather and it keeps its shape.

All of this boils down to personal preference and your lifestyle. I love love the Smooth leather, because I love how soft and luxurious it feels. And honestly, I don’t mind the semi slouch look. I also really appreciate the Mimosa leather, because it’s indestructible. It’s scratch resistant and holds its shape. Just in case you’re eyeing one of these bags, I hope this chat about the different leathers is helpful!

Wishing you a great weekend ahead and thank you for being here!

  • Dressing Up Looks with Spring Trend – Strappy Sandals

Dressing Up Looks with Spring Trend – Strappy Sandals

Mixing classic pieces with one of S/S 2024’s trends – strappy sandals! A great way to add personality and color to timeless looks.

Classic with a twist today. Pairing the ever-so-versatile double breasted blazer (under $35, great material and highly rated!) with cropped flare pants and a dash of fun color. I love coupling classic pieces together, but from time to time, adding something unexpected to the look gives it so much more personality.

The cut and style of this blazer gives it an everlasting charm, and the shape and length of these flare pants gives it the perfect opportunity to showcase that pair of shoes. Both elements together is a recipe for spring freshness… neon pink! It’s like walking on cherry blossoms =) These neon pink strappy heels play so well with sharp tailored looks and also great with weekend boyfriend jeans or straight-leg denim styles.

Leaving from the shop and heading straight to dinner with Colin, this look carries me from day to night so effortlessly. And the best part, every piece is under $40 . I’m just so happy to see that Walmart Fashion is creating and curating so many amazing items at great price points. From spring trends to classic styles, there’s something for everyone.

Hope you enjoy the styling and thank you so much for reading!

  • Sweater Weather in Cozy Knits and Tall Boots

Sweater Weather in Cozy Knits and Tall Boots

Autumn calling! With the weather cooling down, I’m so excited to style with autumn ruby shades and golden hues!

Every year, it seems like fall comes and goes in a flash. I remember very clearly that last year one day it was hot and humid, the next cool and cozy, and two weeks after that it was freezing! It felt like fall only stayed for two weeks! Hopefully this year, we can enjoy autumn a little longer. But for now, it’s sweater weather with amber color knits and lush velvet crimson hues!

I hope you had a great weekend and thank you so much for reading! Colin and I are heading to LA today, so we’ll continue playing with fall hues once I get back. Lots of berry, sapphire, and gold colors to come!
