  • Holidays Again, Shades of Red for Winter

Holidays Again, Shades of Red for Winter

Feeling the holidays again, a red outfit to lift up your spirit!

On days when I anxiously wait for the weather to warm up or hints of spring to peek through, I get a little down. And on days like these, what picks up my spirits is a revisit to festive moods and vibrant colors. Shades of red always get me there. There’s just something so happy and uplifting about cherry reds coming together.

From the ribbon of the dress to the metallic socks, a complete red outfit covering every detail. With vibrant red hues all around, I like to anchor the reds with a shade deeper. The bordeaux bag and burgundy socks add depth and help ground the look. The plaid coat and plissé pleating on the sculpted dress brings back cheerful holiday vibes and makes winter days better.

This bordeaux bag is one of my favorite bags. I love it because it’s extremely hardy (the leather is scratch and water resistant). Even though it looks petite, it can hold a lot inside. I have a make-up pouch, wallet, phone, keys, and still can fit a small water bottle and sunglasses in there. Because it can fit all of the essentials and can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody, it’s such a great everyday and travel bag.

Hope you’re having a great week so far! Thank you so much for reading!

  • A Must-See in San Francisco

    A Must-See in San Francisco

Greetings from San Francisco! A swing that overlooks the city to jaw dropping structures, sharing my two must-see places in San Francisco.

Perfect lighting peeking through grand columns and structures, the Palace of Fine Arts is a local favorite and also a visitor must-visit destination. When I lived here, we actually stopped by this area often. My brother, who works a cross the street, takes breaks and walks in the afternoon a few times a week here. It’s a beautiful area for a picnic, people watching, observing nature, and just having quiet moments to yourself. If you’re interested in photography, golden hour lighting is incredible here!

San Francisco has a few swing areas. At times, they’re down but when they’re up, it’s a must-do activity! This swing is in Bernal Heights Park and you can see the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge from here. It’s about a 10 minutes hike all the way up to the swing, and along the way, you can see panoramic views of the city. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t too crowded.

I hope you enjoyed today’s mini San Francisco tour. I lived here for 10 years and every time I come back, there’s a renewed love and appreciation for this city. Hope you had a great weekend and thank you so much for reading!

  • Autumn Looks in Shades of Chestnut and Rose

Autumn Looks in Shades of Chestnut and Rose

The full beauty of autumn in NYC. Leaves changing color, whispers of cold air passing through, and quiet moments between here and there.

Sharing two looks today – a color story of beige in Central Park and shades of rose-red in Times Square. Both looks embrace the essence of autumn.

Pockets of foliage are changing colors in Central Park and it’s breathtaking. This is just the beginning, so expect more blog posts from this incredible place =) Celebrating the different textures and colors of Central Park, I wanted to create a look that captures the harmony of patterns, anchored by shades of orange, chestnut, and ecru. Mixing plaid with checkerboard prints in similar color palettes, I pulled out one of my favorite trench coats and turtlenecks. Pairing them with chestnut colored accessories to pull the look together, I relied on my go-to pieces – this ‘Alunna’ bag and classic tan suede pumps.

I’m not much of a pink gal, but I love it when pinks are used in strong looks, like a suit. The balance of something soft like rose colors with something structured like pants suits are a winning combination in my humble opinion. Playing with the idea of pinks + reds, I layered my pink suit with a merlot bag. I love the style and design of these bags. It feels a little vintage. Maybe because of it’s tall briefcase-feel rectangle-ish shape? A little familiarity mixed with something modern!

I hope you enjoy both looks! As always, thank you so much for reading!

  • Velvet Winter Days

    Velvet Winter Days

Velvet for winter, a pop of lush orange mixed with browns.

I’ve been sick for the last few days, and when I finally got myself out of bed, I wanted to add a strong color to brighten my mood. Also, I think unconsciously I’m wearing this pretty orange color, because I’ve been craving oranges and orange carrot juice! I hate feeling sick. For now, it’s just a headache, squeezing, and runny nose with lots of chicken noodle soup and water.

Hope you had a great weekend and that your week is off to a great start! Thank you so much for reading!

  • Morning Coffee Date – Rosecrans West Village

Morning Coffee Date – Rosecrans West Village

There’s a spot in the West Village that is lush and full of life – a coffee and floral shop combined.

Rosecrans is one of my favorite places in the West Village. I’ve gotten flowers there for our shoots and for home. They also have vintage vases, fiddle leaf fig trees, and a cute coffee shop inside. A charming spot to enjoy moments of peace and quiet throughout your day.

Pulling out my current favorites – sky blue bag and light blue mules (extremely comfortable, under $50). Shockingly, I’ve worn these blue mules more than my go-to nude beige mules. They’re such a beautiful standout color while being understated. Here they are again with beige. I’m quite surprised at how versatile they are!

Just a side note – I really appreciate simple sleek designs. And it doesn’t matter what it is! The perfect example, this iPhone case. I rarely use phone cases (thank goodness I don’t drop my phone often!), but when I saw this case, I couldn’t resist. It’s a leather case body with gold hardware details. As seen here, the bars make it easy to hold, it can be converted into a stand, and it’s just so chic!

From coffee shops to iPhone cases, thank you for being with me today! Happy summer and hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!

  • Easy Chic Dressing, Monochromatic Blue

    Easy Chic Dressing, Monochromatic Blue

When I don’t know what to wear, I immediately go to monochromatic dressing. It’s easy to style, so much fun to put together, and striking in person!

Blue is one of my favorite monochromatic pairings. I also love red! The reason why I gravitate to blues and reds is that they are dynamic primary colors. Beautiful and powerful, perfect for winter and spring. And they are easy to put together. I love mixing different textures, and for some monochromatic outfits, adding a complementary color to the color set (in this case, brown with blue).

This all blue look is with a Free People sweater dress, Stuart Weitzman boots , and Chanel blue Boy bag. A mix of knit with velvet and suede. And the teddy coat is like icing on a cake. Lush faux fur on top of shades of blue.

Chasing winter blues away with vibrant blues! I hope you enjoy this winter styling and thank you so much for reading. Have a great weekend and talk to you soon!

  • Monochromatic Beige – Suiting up for Fall

Monochromatic Beige – Suiting up for Fall

Something different, something fresh and a little something to welcome fall! A tonal look with crisp textures and sleek details.

As you know, I love monochromatic looks – all red here, all gray here, all silver here, all blue here, and many more! I find that tonal looks are so clean, chic, and fun. For autumn, I love the combination of beige with leg lengthening silhouettes and a dash of interesting textures. This striped beige blazer + pants set is made for fall! The beige color adds warmth while the pinstripes and wide-leg shape gives this overall set a familiar yet modern feel.

Thank you so much for reading and happy September!

  • Artistic Visions & Timeless Silhouettes – Ghazal Paris

Artistic Visions & Timeless Silhouettes – Ghazal Paris

Sometimes inspiration comes from the bottom up! Inspired by the colors of these beautiful shoes, I layered tulle, silk and metallic jacquard to complete the look.

Shoes can finish the look or can be the source of inspiration to create a look. Especially when they are thoughtful and beautifully designed. Throughout the pandemic, I spent a lot of time appreciating emerging designers. The fashion world is extremely competitive and it takes a lot of vision to survive it. I came across Ghazal Paris randomly on IG and instantly saw something special. Founded in 2019 by Houda Ghazal, a designer with deep roots in artisan craftsmanship and an eye for classic silhouettes with a hint of romanticism, each shoe design speaks to her French and Moroccan heritage.

Her collections are grounded in eclectic artistic visions and timeless silhouettes. Classic pumps are elevated with t-strap designs and tonal color layouts, everyday flats are accentuated with embellished straps and jewel tone colors, and timeless mules are heightened with metallic finishes and ruffle structures.

Taking inspiration from these bi-color t-bar pumps (red pumps with bright magenta straps!), I wanted to pair it with something fun and cheerful. Tulle! And a lot of it. Red with red, the tulle dress adds delightful joy to the sleek patent leather pumps. In addition to whimsical looks, I love that these pumps serve as statement pieces when paired against an all-black outfit and they also work equally well when paired with casual styles such as straight-leg jeans and a crisp button-down.

As much as I love wearing ruffles, I also love them on my feet! These ruffle metallic mules are so special. They’re fun and opulent. Metallic with metallic, pairing them today with a jacquard ruffle vest. I’ve also worn them with a simple black sweater and tailored pants and they make the whole outfit shine!

Last but not least, embellished flats! These flats capture the spirit of summer. A beautiful citrine yellow jewel tone color coupled with crystal embellished straps, they’re bright, cheerful and so chic! I’m pairing them with a similar color story here, but they’re also stunning with floral pieces and classic white summer dresses.

Timeless silhouettes with refined details, these structural shoes make dressing so much fun. I hope you love these designs as much as I do!

Hope you enjoy the looks and color pairings! Happy summer and thank you so much for reading!

  • Garden Party – Date Night in a Floral Dress

Garden Party – Date Night in a Floral Dress

Floral magic in organza 3D appliquéd. Capturing the essence of spring bloom and summer romance.

This is not just another floral dress. It’s dark, fiercely romantic and incredibly tactile! This organza 3D floral dress is creativity come to life. From the bow-detailed straps to the sweetheart neckline to the 3D floral appliqués, this piece is stunning in person! The colors are vibrant yet sensual, it is as though it was taken right out of a still life painting. It’s one of those pieces that grabs your attention and won’t let go.

For the love of florals, below are a few of my favorite floral pieces. From mini to full lengths, they capture moments for every occasions. This blue puff-sleeve floral dress is perfect for daytime and holiday trips while this incredible floral cut-out dress is made for night outs and vacation paradise.

Playing with the theme of summer romance, I paired the dress with a pearl and crystal-embellished bag and bow sandals. Floral appliqués, oversized pearls, delicate leather bows, I love that the whole look is textural and striking.

I remember the days when I was constantly walking on eggshells and it’s so liberating to break free from that. I’ve been through a few incompatible to down right unhealthy relationships, and it’s amazing to be in a relationship that is easy (and by easy, I mean drama-free), positive, and honest. He’s my favorite person. He adds music to my life, peace to my soul, and laughter to my days.

I hope you enjoy this his/hers styling and thank you so much for being here! Happy summer and thank you so much for reading!
